“Life of the Star”
“Life of the Star” by Vsevolod Boytsov reproduces multilevel connotations encrypted by referring to “multilayer” plasticity and the direct declaration of dual relations between strict “official” restrictions and unstable “every day” states of modernity. A topical reading of the “first-order” is reflected in the nervous, sharp outline of red or gold refers to strict political regulations, the state apparatus and totalitarian regimes. “First order” is a self-sufficient, deeply politicized context in which it is necessary to implant the meaning of an unpredictable “second-order”.
The linear structure of the military parade, even revolutionary red constructs a kind of faceted "skeleton", strictly outlined like stars on the spires of the Kremlin towers but distorted by vectors that went beyond the allotted borders.
The reading of the "second-order", in other words, the "body" is allegorically identified with the naive, "pop" pink, who chose for himself a soft, mobile, deliberately childish form of representation. It betrays an immature, infantile personality, firmly immersed in the sweet world of dreams.
The lapidary of forms and concentration on the dichotomy of meanings is called upon to put forward the urgent problem of the state and man.
