Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora da Luz is an example of 17th century military architecture on the Algarve coast. It is a beautiful iconic building that sits on rocky cliffs in the lovely fishing village of Praia da Luz, Algarve, Portugal.

It was turned into a restaurant many years ago and is known as A Fortaleza.  

I had the pleasure to dine and work there many years ago. It holds lots of wonderful memories for me.
